About Us

The DSIE - Doctoral Symposium in Informatics Engineering is part of the "Methodologies for Scientific Research" course held by the Doctoral Program in Informatics Engineering (ProDEI) at Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP). The next event is the 14th edition of a series of annual scientific meetings which started in 2005. The DSIE'19 will take place at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) on 6 March 2019.

In general lines, this symposium aims to improve the PhD student's proficiency in scientific research, writing and presentation skills as well as to develop their spirit of collaborative research. The DSIE’19 provides to doctoral students a platform to present their scientific works, discuss their ideas, collect feedback and profitable expert opinions from peers, professors and experienced researchers. In this event the students will have the opportunity to seek advice on various aspects of performing scientific research in Informatics Engineering, improving their future thesis content and completing a PhD. The sharing of ideas, methods and applications is relevant and will be encouraged, so we invite PhD students to submit their scientific contributions to DSIE’19, in order to share their insights and knowledge on their areas of expertise. This website provides all the information about the DSIE'19 activities. We are delighted to invite you to explore it and get to know about all the details of this event.
