Welcome to the web site of the 1st International Conference on Industrial Applications of Adhesives 2020. The 1st International Conference on Industrial Applications of Adhesives 2020 will take place in Funchal, Madeira (Portugal) 5-6 March 2020. The conference venue is the 5 stars hotel VidaMar Resorts Madeira, which offers excellent facilities for high quality scientific interactions.

Madeira is a Portuguese archipelago situated in the north Atlantic Ocean, southwest of Portugal. The capital of Madeira is Funchal, located on the main island's south coast. It is a popular year-round resort. The region is noted for its Madeira wine, gastronomy, historical and cultural value, its flora and fauna, landscapes (Laurel forest) which are classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and embroidery artisans.

It is intended that this conference will be held every two years. The conference is chaired by Lucas F. M. da Silva and co-chaired by R. D. Adams (University of Oxford, UK), Chiaki Sato (Tokyo Institute of Technology) and Prof Klaus Dilger (Technische Universität Braunschweig, Germany). The focus will be on applications of adhesive bonding in the industry such as automotive, aeronautic, railway, marine, energy, electronics, etc. The idea is to bring together the adhesive makers and the adhesive users to exchange experiences and facilitate potential synergies and partnerships.

To register for the Conference, please fill in the electronic registration form. Each participant, including authors, is expected to pay the corresponding registration fee.

Early bird (until 13th December 2019) - 800 EUR
Standard (from 13th December 2019) - 1000 EUR

The conference fee includes cd-rom of abstracts, lunches, conference dinner, coffee-breaks and reception first day.

Cancellation Policy
In case of cancellation, a written notification should be sent to the conference chairman. If it is received prior to January 10th, 2020, registration fees will be refunded with a deduction of €75. No refund can be made after January 10th, 2019.

The full papers (not compulsory) should be sent to lucas@fe.up.pt before the 6th of March 2020. The text should be in single column format and double line spacing.

The book of abstracts (cd-rom) with the accepted abstracts available at the registration. The book of abstracts can also be downloaded with a password.

posters

The poster size must be maximum A0 (841 mm x 1189 mm) in portrait (see sample image). The text and illustrations should be readable from a distance of two meters. Tacks and technical equipment for the hanging of posters will be available. Please check the conference final program for the poster board number assigned to you. Your poster should be displayed as per the number in the program.
