Proposal:
Project objectives:
- Study of Symbian OS;
- Testing and experimenting the Symbian OS communication capabilities, mainly IPv6 over Bluetooth;
- Perform integration of a mobile phone in an ambient network.
Project methodology:
- Study Symbian OS;
- Study Java and C++ APIs;
- Get acquainted with Symbian's C++ programming environment and the emulator;
- Perform connectivity tests using GPRS;
- Obtain IP connectivity with a Linux PC using Bluetooth;
- Develop an application that performs the integration of the smartphone in an intelligent network;
- Implement a set of services to demonstrate the concept of integration;
- Test the implementation with a Linux PC;
- Accomplish full integration by testing the application in a real scenario.
