Acronym: | CPEP |
This TC training has two purposes:
- The development of technical-scientific skills related to building bridges
- Prepare students for the spaghetti bridge building competition, promoting the development of complementary skills (soft skills), namely: critical thinking, teamwork, cooperation, peer communication, time management, resource management, stress management , public oral communication and argumentation.
Thus, in addition to the more theoretical training (focused on technical-scientific aspects) that will be provided, the immediate application of knowledge in the construction of prototypes (with spaghetti) is also intended, thus being a 'hands-on' or 'training' learning by doing'. For this, students, in a competitive environment, have to group themselves into teams, learn to communicate effectively within the team, manage resources, manage time and stress. In addition to this, it will be necessary for them to develop their skills in reporting the process they developed (in the form of a scientific text) and make an oral and public presentation about the work carried out, open to public discussion with defense and argumentation.
