Promote the prospective vision of Engineering and its exercise in the future.
Develop knowledge, skills and competences important to 21st century engineers. Explicit technological examples are used and it is shown how different engineering approaches in different cultural environments use dissimilar paths to obtain solutions and achieve goals.
Presenting issues about engineering practice in the global world, as well as cultural issues, differences between engineering in the world, personal conduct in a global environment and preparing the engineer for international experiences.
Identify the interdisciplinary nature of engineering techniques, develop entrepreneurial skills, highlighting the influence of global society and cultural aspects in solving problems.
Enable the objective development of operational and working skills in a global interface, through the FEUP-UMBC partnership and work in multicultural and multilevel groups in engineering tasks.
