Advanced Studies in Occupational Health

DEMSSO011 - ECTS

The overall goal of this curricular unit presents to each student is to:

Develop the set of methodological skills that will enable them to identify a topic within their field of study in the area of Occupational Health and Ergonomics, and simultaneously define the specific objectives of the research.

The specific objectives of the curricular unit are:

  • To acquire advanced knowledge of Health and Ergonomics in the specific area of the student's research;
  • To implement a critical and reflective stance on the information available;
  • To develop the ability to identify, evaluate and formulate problems in the area of Occupational Health.

Innovation in Occupational Safety and Health

DEMSSO013 - ECTS

The objective of this curricular unit is to promote students' development of advanced skills in one of the innovative and fundamental areas for the development of their thesis topic, and that has not been adequately covered by another curricular unit or their basic training.

Thematic Seminar

DEMSSO014 - ECTS

To address in a systematic way the theoretical and practical knowledge and concepts to develop during the semester the research project in Occupational Safety and Health.

DEMSSO001 - ECTS

The overall goal is to:
Develop a set of methodological skills that enable each student to circumscribe a topic, identify a problem and define research goals.

The specific objectives include:
• To acquire advanced knowledge on operationalization of the different research paradigms;
• To interiorise a critical and reflective attitude about the information available;
• To develop the ability to identify, assess and formulate problems of occupational safety and health;
• To develope the ability to work in a multidisciplinar and multicultural team.
