Description: | The Doctoral Program in Environmental Engineering (PDEA) aims at advanced training in areas of diagnosis, prevention and resolution of environmental problems, applying a multidisciplinary approach. PDEA students develop their doctoral theses in the various Departments of FEUP, promoting excellence in research and technological development, while acquiring transversal skills in communication, scientific ethics, innovation and entrepreneurship. The objective of this UC is that students define the scope and topic of their doctoral work. Typically, the student will have to draw up a current state of the art and define an outline of the research plan, as well as present the work already done. The work developed within the scope of this UC will result in the thesis plan/project that will be submitted and subject to an oral defense.
