Current Position: Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP); Member of the Executive Committee of the Department of Civil Engineering of FEUP; Member of the Social Commission of FEUP; Integrated Member of the Center of Architecture and Urbanism Studies of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto; Collaborator of the R&D Unit CONSTRUCT - Institute for R&D in Structures and Construction; Collaborator of DESIGNstuio FEUP.

Education Degree in Architecture by FAUP (1996); Master in Building Construction by FEUP (2003); PhD in Civil Engineering by FEUP (2013).

Main research interests/competences: Design theory in architecture, Constructive materiality in architecture, Integrated Project Design, 3D and 4D printing for construction, Eco-design, Industrial Design and Evolutive Housing.

Main activities developed: Teacher of Architecture in the Integrated Master in Civil Engineering, Integrated Project in the Integrated Project in Building Construction and Design and in the Master in Industrial and Product Design. In research she seeks to find the common ground between architecture/design and civil and mechanical engineering, by editing scientific publications, participating in projects and producing scientific documentation. She is the editor of the international monographic series Cadernos d’Obra, of the national journal Sebentas d'Obra for the dissemination of works or studies where architecture and engineering intersect, integrated in the project Fora de Portas. She is guest editor of Springer Science+Business Media for the series Building Research: Design, Construction and Technologies. She participates as coordinator or collaborator in several research projects in both areas such as ELBIGmac, the WeWon’tWaste YOU project or INBrail. She is the author of several scientific publications on the study subjects, supervisor of doctoral theses in both areas with main focus on Integrated Design and 3D Printing in construction. She is co-author of a patent in 4D printing.
