Description:

PEDAGOGICAL TRAINING FOR TEACHERS AND RESEARCHERS@FEUP

PROJECTS

TRANSFERABLE SKILLS AND TRANSVERSAL COMPETENCIES

Program for Complementary Competencies

It aims to extend the basic training of study cycles to complementary areas of Engineering, providing the development of inter and multidisciplinary skills that promote adaptation to different contexts and/or the ability to solve problems. The TSs listed below appear in the slots of courses of Transversal Skills of the various study plans at FEUP.

Credited Student Activities Program

It is intended to encourage the organization of Student Activities centered on the organization of training activities and/or technical-scientific events and/or competitions, enabling the certification/crediting of organizational skills (planning and logistics, resource management, etc.) and soft skills (group work, leadership, etc.) developed in this context.

It also aims to enable the crediting of student participation in Engineering Competitions, which are oriented towards the resolution of complex problems/challenges, which include participation in specific prior training and whose development is centered on carrying out a team work by objectives and limited in time.

The TSs listed below can be attended extracurricularly by students and can be credited in academic pathways.

Transversal Skills Program for 1st/2nd cycles

This Program aims to promote a comprehensive training of students, allowing the development of skills in the area of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities through the attendance of TSs specifically created for this purpose at FEUP or made available by other Organic Units of the U.Porto.

The TS listed below appear in the slots of courses of Transversal Skills of the various study plans at FEUP.

Transversal Skills Program for doctoral students and researchers

Promoting the development of transversal competences at the 3rd cycle level is one of the quality principles of doctoral education, recommending its implementation in higher education institutions that want to be competitive and recognised.

Aware of these challenges, FEUP recognizes that such competences, in addition to putting doctoral programs in line with the most recent assumptions of quality in doctoral education, will be able to: allow its doctoral students to better guide and onboard the doctoral process, develop the more efficient and fruitful thesis, finding coping strategies for daily constraints, promoting the creation of businesses, start-ups and new projects, etc. increasing the employability of doctorates.

The TSs listed below can be attended extracurricularly by students, and can be credited in academic pathways.
