Special Topics (7,5 ECTS) is an elective course: Goals: • To expose TAs to teaching activities, including labs and lectures. • To create opportunities for TAs to use their expertise and skills to assist in course curriculum development and in course planning. • To give PDEEC students the opportunity to be involved in teaching activities in 1st and 2nd cycle courses offered by the Department. Requirements: • Teaching activity in all type of classes (T, TP, P, L) • Teaching activity in lectures: teach two different topics in theoretical lectures. • Teaching activity in P and L classes: prepare the teaching material (set of problems, experimental guides), set-up the experiments, elaborate the, to assist lab classes, to evaluate students lab work. How to apply: • Enrol in Special Topics course offered in the 2nd Semester and inform the PDEEC SC of your interest in being involved in teaching activities. • Interact with PDEEC Scientific Committee that will try to find the teaching supervisor and the 1st or 2nd cycle course offered by DEEC/FEUP. Evaluation: • The performance will be evaluated by the teaching supervisor, taking into consideration the requirements.
