DEEC - Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

DEEC offers two Integrated Master Programmes on Electrical and Computer Engineering and on Informatics and Computing Engineering. DEEC is also involved in the Integrated Master Programme on Bioengineering. Professors at DEEC are also involved in other Master Programmes.
The research activity of the professors in DEEC is developed in R&D units recognized by the Portuguese Resarch Council (FCT), being two of them the Associate Laboratories with the Ministry of Science and Technology (INESC-Porto and INEB). In an evaluation of research labs promoted by FCT three units were classified as Excelent (INESC-Porto, INEB and LIACC) and one with Very Good (ISR-Porto). With about 1700 undergraduate students, and 110 PhD students DEEC has 126 teaching staff, being 112 Professors  (Assistant, Associate and Full Professors).
